This is a contract position and is seasonal (Winter / Summer). This is not a full time position and will be on a on-call basis. Most tours are booked days and even weeks in advance with plenty of notice. Typically, if a tour is scheduled, you’ll receive a call. If for some reason, you are unavailable on that date, the next guide will receive the call. And so on and so forth. Those that do well are those that are flexible. Seasons, weather and demand dictate both work schedules and work flow. Summers and winters are busy season. If you travel or are not in Tahoe for extended periods during busy season – you will not be hired. Typical schedules during these periods can be anywhere from 3-10 tours a week per guide.
If interested, please email resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please place “Get me Outside” in the subject line. Please no phone calls. All applicants will be reviewed and those we are interested in will be contacted for a interview.
